Highlands, NC

Happy Fall, y'all! After the hot summer we've had it's so nice that the weather is starting to turn cooler and you can tell that fall is FINALLY here! This past weekend Ayden and I went to Highlands, NC. We thought it would be fun to take a little "baby moon" since this will most likely be the last trip we take, just the two of us, for a while.

We stayed at the Old Edward's Inn for a few nights and although the weather wasn't ideal (it rained two out of the three days we were there) it was so nice to just relax. We slept in, ate lots of good food, took naps and just enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of Highlands. Our getaway package included a spa treatment for me and a golf day for Ayden, but sadly due to the weather Ayden was not able to play golf. While Ayden spent the day exploring Highlands I was treated to a spa day with a pre-natal massage and facial-soooo nice!

The downtown area of Higlands is really cute with lots of great restaurants and shopping. We also saw a few really pretty waterfalls. It was a great weekend!!!
