I don't have a lot of time to blog these days so I'll catch up on what's been happening the past couple of months. Halloween was fun and graham enjoyed dressing up as a "ping ping" or penguin. He loves the movie Happy Feet and was such a cute penguin. Our neighborhood has a little parade and pizza party each year so graham walked in the parade and then decided to call it quits. I have to admit I wasn't too disappointed that he's not into candy and trick or treating yet. It was so cold on Halloween and AH was snuggled up to me in the baby carrier so it was nice to have a short walk with our neighborhood friends and then go to sleep without a sugar rush!
We spent thanksgiving in Aiken/ Trenton this year. AH met all of her Trenton family and did great on our her first road trip. She even surprised us by sleeping through the night for the first time at only 10 weeks old! Graham enjoys trips in the car so much more now that we have the iPad and he can watch his favorite movies in the car. These days we are really into the Cars movies and Toy Story movies.
Graham's 2nd birthday was so much fun and we celebrated with family and close friends. He got a swing set for the back yard and the weather was beautiful (70's) so we enjoyed playing outside with everyone and celebrating our sweet boys special day. His birthday is just a few weeks before Christmas so he has enjoyed an entire month of getting "special prizes" and at his age gifts can be overwhelming when you receive so many at one time each year! Between his birthday and Christmas he has enough toys to last him the whole year long!!
We began celebrating Christmas the day after his birthday when we got our tree. Graham loved having the Christmas tree in our living room (he was afraid of it last year) and did a good job of not pulling the ornaments off ;-). We watched Rudolph and frosty on a daily basis and he learned how to sing both songs. We celebrated Christmas early with Nana and Papa in Aiken and then Mimi and Papa Ron spent Christmas weekend with us. Unfortunately both kids got the awful stomach bug so we were all sick the week leading up to Christmas but everyone felt better in time for Santa. P-pa and Brenda came by Christmas eve for a little visit so the kids were able to spend time with all their grandparents this year. We stayed in Charlotte for Christmas because ayden had to work Christmas eve. Christmas morning was fun and graham was excited that Santa came. We visited Santa a few days before Christmas when we took a family trip to hunter farms but graham was a little hesitant to sit on his lap this year. He did give him a high five! Santa did not disappoint and brought graham a new jeep that he loves!
AH is almost 4 months and is doing great. She is such a sweet girl! She loves playing on her play mat and "talking". She's starting to sleep through the night consistently and taking longer naps. Santa brought her a few cute things too and she's starting to notice and play with her toys now.
Whew! I think I'm all caught up on what's been happening with our family. Graham starts back preschool this week so it will be nice to get back into a routine. I'm ready for this cold rainy weather to end though so we can start spending more time outdoors!! Spring will be here before we know it.
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and a blessed 2013!!
