Easter and Spring update

It's here, it's FINALLY here! Spring time is in full bloom and we've been enjoying the warmer weather and time spent outdoors.  Easter has always been my favorite holiday, even more than Christmas. This year we kicked off the holiday with a neighborhood Easter egg hunt.  The kids had a great time and loved visiting with the Easter Bunny, even though Graham did tell us it wasn't the REAL Easter bunny, just a costume.

Next up was a class egg hunt for Graham at school.  I was in charge of the egg hunt for his class and it was so fun to spend special mama/Graham time.

This year we went to Aiken for Easter to visit with Nana and Papa.  The kids had precious matching Easter outfits and were very excited that the Easter bunny came (chocolate candy for breakfast anyone?) Of course there are no pictures of the two of them sitting still in the same spot or even a good one of the four of us! Ayden's parents church has an Easter egg hunt in between services so the kids got even MORE candy and then we tried to occupy them as long as we could during the church service (which lasted about 12 minutes and their faces were covered with candy) so we headed home- it still counts!  Then we headed to Trenton for lunch to visit with family.

This boy had SO much candy on Easter!!!!!

Someone has the hang of this hunting for eggs thing ;-)

Graham has been loving fishing lately.  He has his very own lightning McQueen fishing pole and his favorite thing to do is fish in the pond behind our house.

Then almost over night THIS happens- best buds! It only took a year (ha) but Graham and AH are best friends. They still fight constantly over toys and they both play their "big brother vs little sister" roles well- AH will take something from Graham that she knows will upset him and run away with a smile on her face and Graham is always bossing her around- but the laughter and sweet moments just fill my heart with joy!  I know we are going to have a fun summer with these two monkeys!
