Grammy comes to visit!

This weekend my mom (Grammy) came up for a little visit. It makes my heart smile to see my mom with Graham. She can hardly get her bags through the door fast enough so that she can hold him! Graham was such a good boy while she was here and decided he would show off by sleeping through the night! For 2 nights in a row he slept 9-10 hours straight without waking for a feeding. We were beyond excited, however I still woke up every hour on the hour and checked the video monitor expecting him to wake up but he slept the night away. Last night he went back to only sleeping 6 hours straight but we are not complaining-that is still great for him only being 10 weeks old.

The weather was beautiful this weekend and we spent a lot of time outdoors. Grammy took us out to lunch on Friday and we did a little spring shopping for Graham and then Ayden and I got to enjoy date night! Graham enjoyed spending time with his Grammy this weekend and can't wait to see her again next weekend when we travel home to Aiken!!

Graham is proving to be a great errand runner ;-) When mom and I went to lunch/shopping he slept for over 2 hours! Then on Saturday Ayden and I took him with us to lunch and slept the whole time...such a good boy!!

I have to brag and say that my mom is amazing! When we brought Graham home from the hospital she stayed that first week with us. Just like she has always been with me, she was so patient and so loving towards baby Graham and we cannot begin to thank her enough for all her help. Not only did she cook, help take care of Lucy, do laundry and help clean, but she also would take care of him during the middle of the night so that Ayden and I could get some rest. I don't know how we would have survived that first week without her! I still have mental pictures of all of us, including her, taking turns sleeping on the couch with Graham so that the others could rest for their "shift". Mom and Ayden took turns watching Graham and would bring him to me when it was time for me to nurse him. Even now when she comes to visit she will help out in the middle of the night with Graham so that we can catch up on our sleep. When we heard Graham crying and went into the kitchen to fetch his bottle mom was already there warming it up! We love you Grammy and truly appreciate all you do for us!!!
