Anne Holland turns One!

How is it possible that our sweet baby girl is already one year old?!?!?! It feels likes we just brought Anne Holland home from the hospital. The past year has flown by so quickly and I have to say that having two little ones close in age was tough for the first year, but I feel like we are at a good spot now with both kids and I am really enjoying my time at home with them.

This Saturday we celebrated AH's first birthday with our family.  All of her grandparents and lots of other family members were in town to celebrate.  She loved playing and eating her cake and opening her gifts.  Her party theme was "first birthday" with pink and grey and polka dot decor.  I found an adorable dress for her when she was only 6 months old and sort of planned the party around that ;-) She is such a girly girl and loves her stuffed animals and baby dolls.  She got so many fun gifts for her birthday and we will be having lots of tea parties in the future!

At one year old she can scoot, pull up, walk holding onto something and say "mama, dada, and gaga".  She hasn't said her real first words yet but she understands everything. I can say, "ok it's time to go outside" and she'll start scooting towards the door. Same with bath time, upstairs and bye bye.  She is such a good eater, I hope this continues into toddler hood.  She adores her big brother and loves mama and daddy and Lucy.

It's bitter sweet to me that she is already one, such a special milestone in her little life.  She's growing up so fast and I wish I could freeze time.  Happy 1st birthday sweet girl, we love you so very much!!
